This guest bathroom renovation in Bethesda’s Brookmont neighborhood transformed a dated builder-grade space into a clean, modern retreat with timeless appeal. The homeowner envisioned a bathroom with contemporary finishes and distinctive design details that would remain beautiful for years to come.

To achieve that vision, we incorporated a floating vanity, streamlined chrome fixtures, marble-look floor tile, and vertically stacked wall tile that creates a crisp, modern aesthetic. Every selection was made to maximize the sense of openness while maintaining a sophisticated, understated palette.

A floor-to-ceiling tile feature wall behind the vanity serves as a striking focal point, visually connecting the vanity area with the shower for a cohesive design. Inside the shower, a horizontal band of white subway tile wraps seamlessly through the niche, introducing subtle contrast and reinforcing the room’s clean geometric lines. White grout paired with the gray tile further enhances the fresh, contemporary look while unifying each design element.

A soft palette of grays and whites creates a timeless foundation, allowing accessories, artwork, and towels to introduce seasonal color and personality with ease.
